The
Staff and Board of Trustees of the Chili Public Library realize that the
library, acting to serve the residents of the community of Chili, will add
materials to its collection which may be deemed controversial. For this reason,
we are providing a procedure for the public to aid any criticism of library
materials. Please fill out the attached form "Patron Complaints Regarding
Library Materials". No comment will be considered without name, address and
phone number included.
Questions regarding this policy should be referred
to the Library Director. If, following discussion with the Library Director, the
user’s concerns remain unresolved, the user will be provided a "Patron Complaint
Regarding Library Materials" form. Upon receipt of the completed form, the Library
Director will thoroughly review it and respond in writing to the user. If the concerns are
still not resolved, the matter may be presented to the Library Board of Trustees for its
final review.
