Libraries offer more than just books and DVDs to borrow. Today you can borrow all sorts of items from your local library including fishing poles, sewing machines, seeds, games and so much more! Listed below are MCLS Member libraries that have some unique collections within their library that you can access for in-house use or check out with your MCLS Library card.

Chili Public Library – Spark Kits, Seed Library, and Fishing Poles

Fairport Public Library- STEM Kits
Greece Public Library – Take & Make Kits & STAY SHARP KITS
Take & Make Kits include a book and the tools you need to get started with a craft or hobby. We provide the tools and you provide the materials (yarn, beads, etc). The kits can be checked out for 3 weeks.
Hamlin Public Library – Creativity Kits & Seed Library

Irondequoit Public Library – Maker Lab Kits, & Seed Library

Outreach Department at MCLS – Memory Care Collection
A library of things for adults living with cognitive decline and their care partners. The items in the collection are designed to stimulate, enrich, and bring comfort to people living with Alzheimer’s and related dementias.
