Is there a way to reserve a book that is not in the Monroe County Library System?

Books not available through MCLS may be requested through Interlibrary Loan. There is a non-refundable $5 fee for each request. The fee will be collected at the time your request is made, or added to your patron account if the request was made by telephone. Payment does not guarantee the book will be received. Contact your local library for more information on this service.

Can you notify me by email if I have items on hold or overdue? Can you send me a text message?

Email notification is available for holds ready for pickup, for overdue items, and as a courtesy reminder for items on your account that will be due in 3 days. If the email notice for an item on hold or overdue is unable to be delivered, you will be notified via the automated phone system, or if the phone call fails, a mailed notice.
