Experience the 2024 Solar Eclipse with MCLS Member Libraries

The total solar eclipse on April 8, 2024, is the last great opportunity for large segments of our country to experience a total solar eclipse until 2045. Monroe County, NY, sits in the center of the path of totality and it’s the place you and your family will want to be on April 8, 2024, at 3:20 pm. The Monroe County Library System Member libraries are gearing up for the event, hosting a variety of education programs/events, sharing resources, and of course helping to get everyone excited about April 8. Below you will find a variety of resources from librarians and astronomy experts about the Solar eclipse, eclipse-related programs, and events happening at your MCLS Member libraries, Book recommendations, and how you can experience the eclipse with member libraries on April 8. There are a lot of fun and educational things happening with the libraries leading up to, during, and immediately after the eclipse, so we hope you will join us.
